Back to sewing

I'm sewing again!! My lack of motivation has passed. It was a much needed break, but now that I'm back, i'm making up for lost time. haha. In a few shorts days, I made a dress, 2 stuffed toys, 3 shirts, a clutch, 2 pillows, custom Kunklebaby order, and some shorts. phew!  This dress kicked off the sewing spree. It was a very late birthday gift for a family friend. Happy late birthday Ellie.

Lucky for me, I even had the right size model for it. Perfect print for a Fancy Nancy lover. I used to make this dress [Sandi Henderson pattern] for Miss {M} all the time. It was a little nostalgic using the same pattern pieces. I love this pattern! Really easy and it grows so well with the child- which means getting more for your money.

New Dress

With everything to do around here lately, I still fit in a little sewing for the kids. Lots of new fall pj's, and a few dresses for our brood. This dress is my favorite of the bunch! I purchased this fabric over a year ago. It was an online fabric buy, and when it arrived I wasn't sure I liked it. It's sat, waiting for the perfect project! As soon as the last stitch was in place, I was in love with this dress-and the fabric. The two go so well together. Miss {M} looks so prettty when dressed in blue.

Mr. Men

Did anyone else have the Mr. Men-Little Miss books growing up? They were some of my favorite books. [ohh, Mr. fussy!] A few years back, they came back into my life as a new cartoon show. The older kids loved it! I would sit and watch with them while nursing Little {L}. It was a fun bridge between my childhood & theirs. They show only lasted a few months, but they still talk & laugh about it. I came across this flannel fabric a few weeks ago, and knew they needed it! I was even able to include Baby Unicorn with the leftover pieces from Mr. {D}'s. We have a few of the books that were mine as a child, Little {L} loves reading them, while wearing his new pj shorts.

Some Sewing

New dresses for Miss {M} & Mama. I love the cute print on her dress fabric. I picked this up about a year ago. Originally it was going to be a birthday dress...then Christmas....and now a summer dress. Sometimes, time just gets away from us! She loves it and I'm happy too. It's nice and twirly, which my little girl is a fan of.

I made a smocked dress for myself too. It's a little too big, so it's been hanging in my closet after only wearing it once. I need to take out some fabric and move the straps. I need thick straps on things right now to cover up nursing bra straps--hate those little snaps showing through.

I'm working on some fun upcycled & new t-shirts for the boys right now. Hopefully I can get them finished this weekend. Little {L} is waiting very patiently for his new skulls hoodie, t-shirt. I'll share those when they are complete!
