Ho HO HO

So, it turns out that Little L is horrified of Santa this year! We went to our local, annual tree lighting. [We have been going for six years now, it's amazing. Tree's, music, lights & fireworks!]. The whole day, {L} was chattering on about Ho-Ho [Santa]. He was chuckling, giggling and running around with excitement. Fast Forward to that night-we arrived late, almost missing the lighting. Mama is stressed [doesn't anyone understand how important this was! lol] Turns out due to "our" [read-husband] lateness we scored a PRIME spot right at the base of the stage. Things are looking up and stressed mama switches to excited again Mama! Thinks, this is going to be amazing! Super close so all the kids can actually see this year. The parade is ending, the crowd is cheering, here comes Santa, he's making his way towards us! I know any moment {L} will be squealing in delight! He's in sight!...and {L} is.... SCREAMING? Screaming and clawing at his Dad like we are trying to feed him to Santa. One morsel at a time! Screaming like his skin is n fire!

I was so confused.... Turns out, the ol' Shrek Christmas movie he's been watching has a scene where Santa, roaring like a jolly Godzilla, eats The Gingerbread Man's girlfriend-all up. This 2 minute scene, have terrified my baby. Looks like this picture is as close to Santa as he will be getting this year! Oh Shrek.

Ready for Action

After a fun day at the zoo, Little {L} was anything, but ready for action. He is the funniest child! He will wear anything on his head, but a hat. Everything can become a hat-bowls, old coffee containers, scarves. The possibilities are endless. I actually made him an orange, Yo Gabba Gabba hat and he prefers the Folgers container with a ball cap underneath. Shoes can be worn as accessories for arms and ears! Boots are a must have even in 100 degree heat!

Little {L} often runs & runs so he won't fall asleep. He spent the last part of the day racing against sleep. Once he was contained to the car, it was all over. I love that he fell asleep with his "hat" on still!

Yo Gabba Gabba

Little {L} is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba. He doesn't really watch any tv otherwise, but he loves his Gabba. Not any Gabba that is, ONLY the Jack Black episode. He walks around saying "Jack-yeah!". In the episode Jack Black gets a suit just like DJ Lance and rides off on his mini-bike. Little {L} rides off wearing his Jack helmet-an old Folgers coffee container. It used to house his toy tools until he realized what a great hat it would make one day. Yes, we do have PLENTY of actually hats in our home, but they are no fun and not Jack friendly. It cracks me up watching him play. He even wore his "hat" to the store one day-toddlers are so fun.

Darth!

{d} has this cool Darth Vader mask that has a voice changer. It has a few programmed saying- Luke I am your father, etc, but the most fun is hearing your voice all darth-y. This same feature is why {L} is terrified of the mask!! He used to be ok with it, until it said his name one day. It was all over at that moment!

He runs and clings to me when he see's the other kids playing with it. {D} has decided this running and scared face, happen to be the cutest thing he has ever seen. -sigh- So, he goes out of his way trying to "accidentally" scare the baby into making his cute, scared face. When {L} is safely with his mama, he starts to growl back at the mask. Grrrrrrr....gRRRRRRRRR, GRRRRRRgggr!!!! At that point, even I find it cute and have to stop myself from laughing. It's just so sweet!
