I LOVE LOVE LOVE hats for new little babies!! There is just something so sweet about bundling up a new little miracle in something special & handmade if possible. I made this little hat for our good friends who just welcomed their first baby to the family.
I picked up this shabby little step stool/chair last summer at a garage sale for $1. I need a chair that sits higher up than a regular one, to use when I do shows for Kunklebaby. The chair was used a few times last summer and I just wasn't that thrilled with it's "looks". About a week ago, I was sitting in bed and all the sudden I decided I had to re-do the chair. [No, I don't have any upcoming shows, or sudden need for it's use. Just one of the random things I decide I suddenly need to make/do.] A little sandpaper, a can of spray paint and a few small bits of fabric and it was done! Quick & easy! 
More booties for baby! I love these, in this wonderful Heather Ross fabric print. I've been saving [hoarding] this little frog fabric for quite some time. I only had a fat quarter and wanted to make sure it got used for just the perfect project! 
With a large-ish family with young children [and homeschooling], we spent a lot of time in our home-A LOT! There are areas of the house that I fantasize about remodelling and re-doing and well, just changing. The kitchen is one of those places. While I am in there, I am always thinking about how great it will be when we get around to adding more counter space and storage. It's actually kind of annoying because it's what I think of the WHOLE time!
Halloween was so fun this year! The older kids were excited all day waiting for trick-r-treat and Littlest Giant was just big enough to go around with his brother and sister. The first few houses, he was confused, but by about the fifth he was tumbling himself out of the wagon and racing to the door with his treat bucket in his hand. It got so heavy by the end of the night he could not list it. Instead of letting us help him, he opted for dragging it along!
I finished the green quilt...and I LOVE it! This is one of favorites. The best part for me is the back. I love how the quilt looks pretty from both sides-either side "could" be the front. 
I'll have the quilt with me this weekend at the Independence Day Show if anyone is interested in it. 
I finished up two more quilts yesterday. Hooray!! The brown one has hand sewn binding. It was able to stitch the binding while teaching the kids about adding with the number one yesterday. My favorite squares feature the dancing foxes. It's a Heather Ross Kokka import fabric. You can't tell from the picture, but it also has dancing frogs and bunnies.
Here's a peek at some of the work I've been doing. I'm getting ready for Craftin Outlaws with lots of colorful, fun new quilts. These few have been dancing around in my head for awhile, so it's exciting to see them start to come together. Blue is my favorite color [big surprise, eh?], so I'm slightly partial to the one above. I love knowing that the creations I am making, will someday make a child smile. It makes me feel connected to the world in ways, I would never have imagined. Pretty cool!
This quilt features some awesome rocker prints and a few great Japanese imports mixed in too. Love the little pirates above.
This is my neutral blanket. Mostly shades of brown, with a few punches of color.
With the studio starting to come together, I'd thought I'd share a glimmer of what's happening inside the Kunklebaby space. I've been working on some colorful new blankets. [I'll debut a bunch of new stuff at the Westerville show next month]
My curtains and a print from Art and Ghosts. I am SO in love with this artist. I have two of her pieces in my studio. Her work is beautiful, very detailed with a dream like quality.

Buttons and thread. That doll was mine when I was a wee one. It's from either Mexico or El Salvador [I don't remember]. It's cool and I love that I still have it.
My dress form and a print from YumiYumi- another Columbus artist. Her work is awesome and she is so nice too! I got to meet her at Tiny Canary last year.
Bits and pieces on another yard sale find. A Kromex serving tray-made in Cleveland, Ohio, my home town. It was only $2 and still had the cool, vintage box
Some books for inspirations and patterns. 
Some fun new things have been added to the shop, including the Blue Lotus Gift Set below. I have more ready that I will be adding throughout the week. Lots of pretty girl bibs and some really great blankets for baby boys.
With {M} in this wedding and my husband was just in one a few weeks back, {D} was feeling VERY left out! I had a brilliant idea [I thought], that a little father and son shopping trip would fix everything. Since I was making {M}'s dress, I thought {D} would like a brand new tie. A real father son bonding time picking out a tie.
As many of you know, I LOVE Seahorses! As a child I found them so magical, and cute! AS I grew up, it never really went away. Lately I have found myself enthralled with them again.
